Nielsen is seeking a Legal Counsel II, Privacy & Data Protection to provide practical, business-oriented advice on U.S. and global privacy matters across products, services, and operations.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing to implement privacy programs and compliant launches. Responsibilities include advising on privacy compliance, drafting DPAs, conducting PIAs, and supporting incident response.

Formación

• 2-5 years of privacy, data protection, technology, commercial, or related legal work.
• J.D. or equivalent legal qualification and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• At least 2 years of experience with U.S. state privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA, others) and operationalization across products/contracts.
• Experience with DPAs, DP terms, and privacy-related contract drafting.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills; ability to explain complex privacy requirements in business terms.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day legal guidance on U.S. federal/state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, etc.).
• Translate regulatory developments into actionable guidance, contract language, notices, and processes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs and related privacy provisions in contracts.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs/ DPIAs) and DPIA risk mitigation.
• Support privacy incident response and regulatory inquiries; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
