The role focuses on privacy compliance in transactional matters, including M&A, financings, and technology agreements, with a hybrid work arrangement in Tampa or Sarasota.

Qualifications

• Bar admission in good standing in Florida is required.
• Four or more years of privacy experience with potential for advancement.
• Strong knowledge of federal privacy laws (TCPA, GLBA, FCRA, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, FTC Act).
• Experience counseling on privacy in mergers, financings, and technology transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in AI governance and emerging regulations is valued.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on privacy compliance in transactional work, including M&A and financings.
• Draft privacy and security policies and negotiate related contracts.
• Handle privacy components of corporate transactions (IPOs, due diligence).
• Monitor federal/state/international privacy developments and advise practical steps.
• Collaborate with partners to develop data governance strategies and client relationships.
• Lead incident response, risk assessments, and regulatory strategy.
