Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking a Privacy Program Engineer to own the technical core of our privacy program, building automation, data inventory, and DSR workflows. You’ll write scripts, queries, and tools, reporting to the Privacy Lead in a fast‑growing AI infrastructure environment.

You’ll own end‑to‑end privacy workstreams, develop scalable privacy tooling, and collaborate with product and engineering to embed privacy by design across platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on privacy operations including DSRs, data inventory and retention enforcement.
• Strong SQL and scripting ability to query data stores and automate tasks.
• Experience with GDPR/CCPA/ISO standards and cloud IAM.
• Proven automation of privacy processes using code or workflow tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication to translate privacy requirements to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build privacy automation layer with scripts, jobs, API integrations, and LLM agents.
• Own the DSR program and automated intake, verification, fan-out, and fulfillment tracking.
• Maintain data inventory and ROPA driven by environment metadata.
• Review designs for data handling, de-identification, tokenization, and encryption.
• Own retention/deletion enforcement across data stores and pipelines.
• Support consent management across web properties and product surfaces.
• Trace customer data flows in training, fine-tuning, inference, and logging; validate zero-retention claims.
• Take on additional privacy projects as the program evolves.
