Job summary

Fireworks is seeking a Privacy Program Engineer to own the technical core of the privacy program. You will build automation, scripts, and LLM-based agents to handle data subject rights, retention, and data inventory.

You’ll own the technical direction of privacy systems at Fireworks and work across data stores and cloud environments. You’ll collaborate with engineers to embed privacy-by-design and drive automation that scales privacy operations.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in privacy, GRC, IT audit, or information security with hands-on privacy work.
• Hands-on privacy operations: DSR, data inventory (ROPA), retention enforcement.
• Automation of privacy tasks using code, workflows, or privacy platforms.
• SQL and scripting to query data stores and APIs.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, ISO 27701/27001/42001, SOC 2, NIST.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and translate privacy to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build privacy automation layer: scripts, jobs, API integrations, and LLM agents.
• Own DSR program and automated intake, verification, fulfillment tracking.
• Maintain data inventory and ROPA synced to cloud environments and IaC.
• Embed privacy by design in designs and PRs; advise on de-identification and encryption.
• Own retention/deletion rules across data stores and pipelines.
• Support consent management across web properties and products.
• Trace data movement in training, fine-tuning, and inference; verify zero-retention claims.
• Lead additional privacy projects as the program evolves.
