Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks compassionate individuals to join our community as Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigators. You will teach, learn, and support prison and re-entry programs while enhancing your training in the field.

The role delivers CBI Life Skills and Family Relations programming, with responsibilities including class facilitation, progress evaluation, and collaboration with CDCR staff. Full-time, onsite employment in multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Must have Cal MHSA Peer Navigator certification.
• Certification number or test date should be on the resume and prioritized.
• If not certified yet, provide a scheduled test date for Cal MHSA certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI Life Skills and Family Relations classes using standardized curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop action plans or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants in assigned classes.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and participation expectations.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CDCHCS HQ, local institutions, and contracted staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
