Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). The role involves facilitating CBI classes, conducting individual sessions to develop release plans, and documenting progress in ARMS.

Required are DHCS-approved registration and AOD certification within five years, plus strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and ARMS.

Qualifications

• Understand causes, symptoms and effects of substance abuse.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP contractual requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office and ARMS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Facilitate classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct individual sessions to develop release plans and provide assignments.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Document delivery of CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CDCHCS headquarters and staff.
