Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks compassionate individuals to join our in-prison ISUDTP team as Counselor I. You will deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming, facilitate evidence-based classes, and document progress in ARMS.

You will collaborate with CDCR staff and contribute to participant release planning while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards. This role offers hands-on training and meaningful social impact.

Qualifications

• AOD certification due within five years of registration.
• Current AOD registration with an approved organization.
• Understanding of substance abuse causes, effects and treatment.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP contractual requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Facilitate classes and individual sessions; develop release plans.
• Evaluate and document participant progress in ARMS.
• Record delivery of CBI programming and maintain confidentiality.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CDCHCS staff and partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Contractor.
