Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating repair work.
• Understanding of building codes and safety standards.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other trades.
• Budgeting experience with cost estimates and material orders.
• Proficient with basic computer apps for forms and reports.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and supervises specialists and technicians in maintenance and repairs.
• Schedules and directs unit maintenance and construction activities.
• Performs repairs, new construction, and preventive maintenance as required.
• Evaluates projects, budgets, materials, and time frames.
• Conducts inspections; ensures tools/equipment are operable and inventoried.
• Completes documentation per policy and supervision instructions.
• Attends training and meetings; drives on state business.
• Performs other duties assigned.
