Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified Building Maintenance Specialist to perform general facility maintenance, repair and construction at ASPC-Yuma, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen equipment and related systems.

You will schedule and plan maintenance projects, perform preventative maintenance, inspect tools, supervise inmate workers, attend meetings, and ensure documentation and safety compliance in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of structural issues and building utility systems
• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general facility maintenance
• Budgeting: estimating costs and ordering materials

Responsibilities

• Schedule and plan maintenance projects with pricing and materials
• Perform maintenance and preventative tasks as required
• Complete required documentation per policy
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
• Supervise inmate workers' performance
