Qualifications

• Requires previous supervisory/leadership experience.
• Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
• Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician experience and active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (or eligible upon hire).
• National certification (CPhT) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of pharmacy technicians supporting prior authorization workflows.
• Monitor daily workflows, productivity, and accuracy to meet service level targets.
• Provide real-time problem-solving support for escalations and complex cases.
• Assist with staffing plans, scheduling, and workload distribution.
• Oversee documentation, payer communication, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve barriers impacting authorization turnaround times.
• Partner with pharmacists and providers to optimize approval outcomes.
• Track and report on key performance metrics and quality.
• Conduct audits and drive continuous quality improvement.
