Qualifications

• Prior authorization experience is required.
• Experience with insurance verification or patient benefits is required.
• Strong understanding of how healthcare insurance works is preferred.
• Excellent phone and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact between patients, providers, pharmacies and insurers to move coverage issues forward.
• Complete and follow up on prior authorization requests and verify eligibility/benefits.
• Research coverage requirements and gather missing information as needed.
• Communicate authorization status and next steps with insurance carriers.
