Job summary

Enerstaff, LLC is seeking a Printing Production Supervisor in Dallas, TX for a 6am-4:30pm shift. Pay ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year, DOE. Responsibilities include supervising press operators, ensuring color accuracy, coordinating materials, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifying candidates will have at least two years of supervisory experience in printing/packaging, 5+ years production knowledge, and strong reporting and communication skills. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or lead experience of at least two years, Flexo Operator experience required.
• Five plus years of production experience in a manufacturing environment; printing/packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence; present to employees and management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of press operators.
• Inspect plates, web, and materials to ensure specs and color match.
• Verify production schedule and availability of plates, inks and materials.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Plan labor hours based on production schedules.
• Suggest improvements to methods, equipment and product quality.
• Support Lean manufacturing procedures and lean committees.
• Analyze problems and assist workers in solving issues.
• Train new Press Operators on tools and safety.
• Keep production records and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Printing Production Supervisor
Location:Dallas, TX 75247
Pay:$70-$90K DOE
Shift:6am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs

Responsibilities

• The Production Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of press operators by performing the following duties.
• Inspectsplates,web,and other materials to be used in producing a job to verify conformance to specifications andis responsible forverifying color match of jobs to job specs.
• Checks production schedule andverifiesplates, inks and other required materials are available in advance of an order going to a Press Operator.
• Consistentlymaintainsequipment and may make minor repairs when necessary.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and qualityof product.
• Responsiblefor implementing and following Lean Manufacturing procedures and is a member of one or more Lean manufacturing development and implementation committees.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems orassistsworkers in solving work problems.
• Trains new Press Operatorson proper and safe use of tools and equipment.
• Maintains production records in an efficient and organized manner.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized;maintainshousekeeping standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Directlysupervisespersonnel in the manufacturing departments.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning,assigning,and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

• Previoussupervisory orleadexperience of at least two years, Flexo Operator experience a MUST with a successfultrack recordfor leading teams.
• Five plus years of production experience in a manufacturing environment. Printing,packaging,or similar industry experience isrequired.
• Must be able towritereports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management.
