Job summary

Autajon Packaging Boston in Nashua, NH, is seeking a Printing Pressman 2nd Man to safely operate a high-speed sheet-fed press and ensure color-accurate printing for premium brands. You will support the Pressman and oversee the Feeder, stepping in when needed to keep production flowing.

The role requires reading and following instructions in English, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and good teamwork.

Located in the greater Nashua, NH area, Autajon Packaging Boston is a full-service packaging provider specializing in traditional folding cartons as well as a wide range of innovative packaging solutions. We proudly partner with renowned brands such as Lindt, Hershey, Godiva, and Ferrero Rocher.

Position Summary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The 2nd Man is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant's production printing equipment and for assuring complete customer satisfaction with the quality of the printed product including exact color match. The 2nd Man supports the Operator and helps to oversee the work of the Feeder. The 2nd Man will run the Press in the absence of the Pressman.

Principal Job Responsibilities

• Printing Press Operation high speed sheet fed printing press
• Supports the Printing Pressman in all aspects of the press operation
• Help to oversee the work of the Feeder
• Hangs plates on press
• Loads ink in press
• Performs frequent color match utilizing computerized equipment
• Is responsible for press speed and the efficient use of the press
• Performs frequent quality checks and approvals as per policy
• Inspects the finished product for quality prior to its moving on to Die Cutting
• Helps to keep the work area clean and orderly
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school education or GED required.

Previous Experience In Sheet Fed Printing Required

Ability to read and write and communicate in English in order to follow written and verbal job instruction

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Must be attentive to detail with excellent eye for color

Excellent mechanical aptitude

Excellent manual dexterity

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks

Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols
