Staff Perm is seeking a Printing Press Setup Technician for the third shift in Townsend, MA. The role focuses on manual setup and operation of multi-color sheet fed and high-speed continuous/web presses to ensure accurate configurations and high-quality output.

Responsibilities include press setup, ink and water balance adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance. Training on first shift is provided; background checks and drug screening are required for employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or printing.
• Familiarity with printing processes and equipment usage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete press setups including stock identification, paper path adjustment, plate mounting, and ink mixing.
• Ensure die registration and multi-color accuracy with proper ink and water balance adjustments.
• Operate presses according to order instructions to meet quality standards for ink density, color matching, and product attributes.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance to uphold product quality.
• Use press controls effectively and troubleshoot mechanical issues including blanket changes and cleaning tasks.
