Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a dedicated Printing Press Operator for the 3rd shift to manage press operations and ensure smooth production in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves operating and manually setting up multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses during the 3rd shift. You will be responsible for meeting job specifications, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment to maintain production quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing/printing experience.
• Familiar with printing process and ink usage.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use.
• Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

• LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469
• POSITION: Contract
• SCHEDULE: 3rd Shift - 11:00pm to 7:00am / Sunday - Thursday (Training is on 1st shift)
• PAY RATE: $22.00 hour

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use.
