Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Kluge Platen Press according to job specifications

• Perform die cutting, embossing, and foil stamping on a variety of substrates (e.g., paper, cardstock, specialty materials)

• Adjust press settings for pressure, temperature, and registration to achieve optimal results

• Monitor press during operation to detect issues and ensure consistent quality

• Perform regular press maintenance and cleaning

• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues independently or with supervisor assistance

• Follow job ticket instructions, including specs for registration, foil type, die alignment, and sheet size

• Complete production paperwork, including run times, quantities, and material usage

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Assist with training new operators or press assistants as needed

• Communicate with supervisors, quality control, and prepress teams to ensure smooth workflow

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience operating a Kluge Platen Press or similar die cutting/finishing equipment

• Strong understanding of foil stamping, embossing, and die cutting techniques

• Ability to read and interpret production orders, proofs, and job tickets

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
