Press Operator

Set up and operate the Kluge Platen Press according to job specifications
Perform die cutting, embossing, and foil stamping on a variety of substrates (e.g., paper, cardstock, specialty materials)
Adjust press settings for pressure, temperature, and registration to achieve optimal results
Monitor press during operation to detect issues and ensure consistent quality
Perform regular press maintenance and cleaning
Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues independently or with supervisor assistance
Follow job ticket instructions, including specs for registration, foil type, die alignment, and sheet size
Complete production paperwork, including run times, quantities, and material usage
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with training new operators or press assistants as needed
Communicate with supervisors, quality control, and prepress teams to ensure smooth workflow
2 years of experience operating a Kluge Platen Press or similar die cutting/finishing equipment
Strong understanding of foil stamping, embossing, and die cutting techniques
Ability to read and interpret production orders, proofs, and job tickets
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
