Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Printing Press Assistant in our Printing Department to help ensure quality and efficiency on the shop floor. You will assist with setup, monitor viscosities, prepare jobs, and support the Press Operator as needed.

This role requires basic math and mechanical skills, a high school diploma or GED, and a team-focused attitude. You will work a rotating 12-hour shift, with days and nights, in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience with printing equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed expectations.
• Prepare for upcoming orders.
• Package and wrap finished rolls.
• Monitor viscosities and complete PH forms.
• Locate ink on the specification sheet and disperse.
• Operate forklift/clamp trucks to transport product and support the Press Operator when needed.

Your Role: Printing Press Assistant - Printing Department

• Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed expectations.
• Prepares for upcoming orders.
• Packages/wraps finished rolls.
• Monitors viscosities and completes PH forms.
• Finds ink on specification sheet and disperses.
• Uses forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.
• Ability to fill-in for the Press Operator job when necessary.

Shift: 2, 2, 3 rotating between days and nights every two weeks

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently position or move up to 25 - 50 pounds.
• Lifting or moving items weighing greater than 50 pounds requires the use of lifting equipment or co-worker assistance.

Work Environment

• Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision protection and other necessary PPE as required.
