Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal is seeking a Decorator Mechanic for the Nichols, NY area. You will operate high-speed printing equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and insure quality of printed labels.

You will read blueprints and electrical schematics, troubleshoot, and support a safe, efficient production line. The role requires a high school diploma with 5+ years in manufacturing; an associates/technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years manufacturing experience (high-speed preferred).
• Associates/technical degree preferred or related vocational/technical certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates the printer and assists other operators.
• Verifies proper setup of printer equipment and inspects printers for defects.
• Performs label design changeover setups and preventative maintenance.
• Conducts hourly quality checks and ensures SOP compliance.
• Audits printer applications to meet SOP specifications and monitors spoilage.
• Reports problems to supervision and keeps area safe and organized.
