Job summary

Technical-Link N. America is seeking an experienced PCB design engineer in Irvine, CA to lead the full design cycle for avionics hardware.

The role covers requirements, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, verification and performance testing. You will develop interconnects, support hardware integration, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable rapid deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal/power integrity analysis, and validation.
  • Proven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system level integration and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components.
  • Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Altium.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems
  • Hands‑on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high speed communication, and firmware/software integration
  • UAV experience highly desirable
  • Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast‑paced R&D environment
  • Familiarity with MIL‑spec hardware and harnessing
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
