Job description

High Steel Structures LLC is proud of the quality reputation we've earned as the steel fabricator of choice for North America's transportation infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Print Room Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the High Steel Print Room; provides printing, copying, scanning & document distribution services to both internal and external customers. This includes receipt, duplication, transmission and distribution of Engineering documents, both in paper form and through electronic systems, and the maintenance and recording of such transactions in a Document Control System, in strict accordance with required procedures. They are also responsible for the oversight of all Print Room supplies and equipment to ensure satisfactory operation and maintenance of the equipment. The Print Room Coordinator reports to the Detailing Manager.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Associate's degree in business preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Google applications, Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to utilize commercial document management software such as SharePoint and ProjectWise.
  • Working knowledge in all engineering department functions and systems, including scanning and printing software and equipment, and High Steel's Document Control System (DCS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential, as well as the ability to work independently without daily supervision.
