Job summary

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Scheduler to join our team. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules to ensure materials and jobs flow efficiently through the manufacturing process and customer delivery requirements are met.

Monitor orders, group batches, coordinate production, and communicate with the press and production staff. Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with emphasis on accuracy and timely updates.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple orders and priorities throughout the day.
• Ability to recognize problems, review available information, and determine an appropriate next step.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production employees.
• Ability to remain organized and focused during temporary periods of increased production pressure.
• Comfort working primarily at a computer for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming print orders through the production scheduling system.
• Review and group similar orders into efficient production batches
• Coordinate production batches based on order volume, product requirements, priorities, and shipping needs.
• Send completed batch information to the plate-processing equipment.
• Retrieve completed plates and deliver them to the press area.
• Communicate with the press operator and production team regarding order status and priorities.
• Monitor workflow throughout the day and adjust priorities when urgent orders or production issues arise.
• Review order information carefully to ensure work is complete and accurate before it moves into production.
• Assist with reviewing and correcting work-order travelers after completing training.
• Provide scheduling updates and communicate potential delays or production concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
