Job summary

Staples is hiring for a Print Production Associate at our dedicated print facility in Massachusetts. You’ll work with high-volume digital print equipment to produce, finish, and ship large copy and signage orders, while supporting a fast-paced, team-oriented culture.

Training is provided, and we coordinate with stores for large orders. The role emphasizes following production workflows, operating finishing equipment, troubleshooting files, and meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced print facility.
• Experience in a print environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and adjust workflows accordingly.
• Basic computer skills to size and print documents.

Responsibilities

• Follow production workflow to produce high volume of work.
• Operate finishing equipment (cutters, drills, bindery).
• Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats and convert to PDF print-ready status.
• Ensure all work meets job tickets and customer quality expectations.
• Care for equipment and follow maintenance schedules; ensure safety.
• Collaborate with Production Facility Lead for timely project processing.
• May serve as back-up driver and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Whether you have experience or you’re new to print, we provide training and also cross train in different functions of our Digital Print Facility. We are often asked if this role is in a store, it is not. Staples has dedicated print facilities to handle large print orders that originate from our stores. For some openings, we can be flexible to work around your schedule.

As a Print Production Associate, you will be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers meet their copy and print needs while being part of a fun, team-oriented culture. Our print facilities are not typically customer facing as larger orders from our stores are sent to our print facilities to complete. You’ll produce and finish large copy, print and signage orders coming into our local print facility using high volume digital print equipment.

• Follow production workflow to produce high volume of work
• Operate a variety of finishing equipment including cutters, drills and bindery
• Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats and change to PDF print-ready status
• Ensure that all work produced in accordance with the job ticket and customer’s quality expectations
• Properly use and care for all equipment. Comply with operating instructions and maintenance schedules
• Partner with the Production Facility Lead for the timely processing of projects
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned; may also serve as back up driver
