Job summary

Staples operates dedicated print facilities to handle large print orders for stores. The Print Production Associate will produce and finish high-volume copy, print and signage orders at the local facility, collaborating with a team in a non-customer-facing environment.

We provide training, cross-training, and flexible scheduling opportunities. This role includes operating bindery equipment and maintaining quality that meets customer expectations in a fast-paced production setting.

• Experience reading and interpreting instructions, identifying problems, and addressing them proactively.
• Basic computer skills (e.g. size and print documents).

Responsibilities

• Follow production workflow to produce high volume of work.
• Operate a variety of finishing equipment including cutters, drills and bindery.
• Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats and change to PDF print-ready status.
• Ensure all work produced meets the job ticket and customer quality expectations.
• Properly use and care for all equipment; comply with operating instructions and maintenance schedules.
• Partner with the Production Facility Lead for timely processing of projects.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned; may serve as back up driver.

Job description

Whether you have experience or you’re new to print, we provide training and also cross train in different functions of our Digital Print Facility. We are often asked if this role is in a store, it is not. Staples has dedicated print facilities to handle large print orders that originate from our stores. For some openings, we can be flexible to work around your schedule.

As a Print Production Associate, you will be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers meet their copy and print needs while being part of a fun, team-oriented culture. Our print facilities are not typically customer facing as larger orders from our stores are sent to our print facilities to complete. You’ll produce and finish large copy, print and signage orders coming into our local print facility using high volume digital print equipment.
