Job summary

Jetson Specialty Marketing in Hamburg, PA is seeking a Print Press Supervisor for the 3rd shift (12:00am–8:00am). You will lead the press and laser departments, supervise staff, and drive production quality and efficiency on your shift.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, safety, and cross‑functional communication to meet cost, quality and schedule targets in a fast-paced printing environment.

Qualifications

• Seasoned knowledge of commercial printing operations.
• Ability to build a high performing team.
• Exceptional communication and relationship skills.
• Experience in training, quality control, lean manufacturing or safety a plus.
• Two or more years of experience in a Press Operator role.
• One+ years in print or mail industry preferred.
• Advanced education.

Job Description

Position Summary: A Press Supervisor for JSM will be responsible for facilitating optimum production output and quality by enabling a qualified workforce and fostering company policies and procedures. An individual in this role will be accountable for the overall results of the pressroom on their shift.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for supervising, training and hiring of employees to work in the Press and Laser departments.
• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment recommendations. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
• Achieve departmental performance standards and measures – and provide regular progress reports to manager.
• Provide for a safe working environment.Perform accident response and support safety committee initiatives.
• Communicate upward, downward, across shifts and departments.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for all equipment and proper inventory levels.
• Track training, absenteeism and timekeeping.
• Promote company values and culture.Enforce company policies and rules.
