Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the 1st shift to support our offset printing operations. No prior print experience is required—we provide training and ongoing development as you contribute to book, catalog, and magazine production.

You will set up presses, read project specs, install plates, adjust registration, and ensure color accuracy while maintaining a safe, team-oriented work environment in a growing manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with handling manufacturing equipment.
• Attention to detail and quality control mindset.
• Able to read job specs and adjust equipment as needed.
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single- and multi-color offset printing presses.
• Read job instructions and prepare the press for each project.
• Install printing plates, adjust registration, and prep presses for production.
• Make color and quality adjustments to meet standards.
• Monitor equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on presses.
• Maintain safety while collaborating with team.
