Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery in Hudson, OH. We’ll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment on a daytime shift 7a–7p, full-time with overtime opportunities. You’ll feed, pack, inspect, and move materials, contributing to a fast-paced, quality-driven production line.

No bindery experience required—we’ll train you. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability as you learn skilled equipment and pursue a long-term career in print manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction and ability to use measuring devices
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Read and follow job instructions and measurements
• Team player and reliable

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials to/from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work with a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products for quality
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean
