Job summary

Sheridan is seeking a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery to train on high-speed bindery equipment. Day shift 7a–7p, full-time, with overtime opportunities. You’ll contribute to turning books and printed materials into finished products.

No bindery experience? We’ll train you. You’ll work on a fast-paced, team-oriented floor, follow safety procedures, and have opportunities to grow in print manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements.
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace
