Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for the finishing/bindery line on the daytime shift (7a–7p) in Ohio. We’ll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to book, catalog, and printed materials production.

You’ll work with a team to meet daily production goals, perform hand operations, inspect products for quality, and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. This role offers training and a path to growth.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Read basic job instructions and measurements; take pride in quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean
