Job summary

Smyth Companies LLC in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Machine Operator - Print Industry to join our finishing team. This role focuses on setting up and operating CEI finishing equipment, ensuring quality labels and efficient production flow.

The position offers a full benefits package and opportunities for growth. Shift is 5:00am–5:15pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, with overtime and a generous shift differential. You will help bring customer labels to life and contribute to Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform heavy work.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Preferred: one or more years of related flexographic printing experience.
• A Plus: lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, running, and maintaining CEI finishing machines in an efficient and timely manner.
• Carefully and thoroughly inspecting completed labels for errors and defects.
• Identifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean improvement/modification.
• Performing work based on finishing spec sheet and priorities assigned by the Finishing Lead/Supervisor.
• Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation for assigned finishing tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability finishing equipment.
