A leading company in the RF and wireless communication sector is seeking a Staff RF System Designer. This role involves overseeing RF system design and development for various applications, including medical and IoT markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wireless PHY design, DSP concepts, and communication theories. You will lead product development phases and support critical customer issues while fostering an inclusive work environment.
Perform RF system-level design and development to optimize intelligent integrated RF / wireless communication system-on-chip (SOC).
Supervise IoT RFIC development and production steps from definition to design, integration, production test development, package design, application design, and end customer support.
Define RF and Digital systems for the Radio IP used in industrial, healthcare, and IoT markets.
RF System definition, analysis, optimization, and debugging. Include algorithm development for intelligent and cognitive radio, focusing on optimizing PHY layer control of the RF and baseband to achieve product certification and market introduction.
Engage in key customer communication for technical support and problem-solving.
Participate in and follow up with the major Wireless standards definition.
About the team / role :
As a staff RF system designer, you will lead RF / wireless design development for medical, energy, and embedded security ICs. You will be involved in all major phases of RF SOC product development, including product definition, RF system design, RF circuit design, and RF software implementation. The ideal candidate should be an expert in communication theories, DSP concepts, wireless transceiver design, and the full silicon and production development flow. Experience in modern wireless system architecture design, system/behavior level modeling, and simulation for trade-off analysis and performance evaluation is essential. This role also involves supporting the business team in critical customer issues and acquiring new clients.

Qualifications :
MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years or Ph.D. with 7+ years of industry experience in Wireless PHY design and modeling. Extensive experience in system-level design of wireless transceiver blocks such as DPD, AGC, and CFO.
Strong background in DSP and Communication Theory. Deep understanding of wireless system features, performance, and trade-offs. Solid knowledge of CMOS RF transceiver architectures for modern communication systems.
Proficient in Matlab, C, Python for behavioral modeling and system simulation.
Experience in Digital / RTL Design, especially on Modem or similar digital blocks.
Knowledge of RF / analog circuit simulation tools and testing techniques.
Familiarity with Wireless PHY and MAC / Link Layer Protocols (e.g., LTE, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth).
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, load pull, etc.
Experience with FPGA and design verification processes.
