Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Water Treatment Design Engineer/Manager to join our Resilience Water Business in Southern California. The role leads municipal water and wastewater projects, manages staff, and performs business development with clients in the region.

The candidate will have 12+ years as a civil/environmental/mechanical/chemical engineer, California PE licensure, and a proven ability to deliver projects from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience in water/wastewater design and delivery.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Drive business development and represent Arcadis in industry activities.
• Maintain and grow client relationships across the Southern California region.
