Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Water Treatment Planning Engineer/Manager to lead water quality and treatment planning in Southern California. You will guide long-term strategy, mentor a high-performing team, and collaborate with regional leadership to advance resilient water planning for municipal and utility clients.

You will oversee multidisciplinary projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business development while leveraging your deep knowledge of California's water policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 12 years of progressive experience in water resources planning, water system planning, or related fields.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead water quality and treatment planning efforts, including regulatory compliance for groundwater and surface water.
• Lead evaluations of existing treatment infrastructure and plan improvements for reliability and water quality.
• Represent the owner during design and construction as Owner's Agent; lead performance guarantees and startup/ commissioning requirements.
