Job summary

Reddit is seeking a Principal UX Engineer for its Ads Design team. This strategic, hands-on role sits at the intersection of design and engineering, shaping product direction, building production-adjacent prototypes, and establishing UX Engineering as a core capability within Reddit Ads.

You'll collaborate with Design, Research, Product, Engineering and Data Science, crafting reusable tools and systems, while raising the bar on interaction quality, accessibility, and performance, all while

Deep experience at the intersection of product design and engineering.
Proven ability to turn complex ideas into intuitive experiences.
Experience building production-adjacent prototypes and internal tools.
Strong systems thinking and reusable pattern creation.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the UX Engineering strategy across Reddit Ads.
Build high-quality prototypes and workflow tools to move ideas toward production.
Shape product direction with senior cross-functional leaders.
Create reusable components and workflows across teams.
Raise interaction quality, accessibility, and performance.
Develop AI-native workflows, agents, and tools for Ads Design.
Mentor practitioners and grow UX Engineering as a capability.
