Principal UX Designer
Our focus on the user experience places designers in a unique position to influence product direction through bold design decisions. We apply design thinking and take a holistic approach to ensure experiential continuity across platforms and touch points of our growing portfolio of products and mobile applications.
As a principal you will demonstrate mastery of best in class UX process and ability to perform all facets of the UX discipline including information architecture, interactive and visual design. Be a driver and person who can manage multiple strategic and complex design projects. Be a strong advocate for the customer at all times. Influence key metrics. Mentor and teach others what you have clearly mastered.
Essential Responsibilities
- Master Translator - Transform ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into tangible products and services that provide clear, usable, useful and desirable outcomes for users
- Master at design fundamentals - Create detailed wireframes, information architecture diagrams, user flows and prototypes
- Industry Expert – Demonstrates best practices and design thinking / process - driving best digital experiences with every project
- Passionate advocate for the user - ground ideas in data driven solutions by partnering with our research team to incorporate customer insights and principles throughout the creative process.
- Influencer - Ability to influence product roadmaps proactively by performing usability evaluations/score cards
- Strategic - Run usability workshops with cross-functional leaders in order to align on usability concerns and create usability roadmaps.
- Fast - works in agile, fast moving environment – fluently deliver just in time design works for sprint cycles while enhancing the quality and experience of the products
- Collaborator - Work in collaboration with key project team members, including user experience researchers, product owners, tech leads, developers, strategy, PM
- Cross-channel designer - create concepts which form the user experiences cross channel (mobile, tablet and desktop )
- Mentor – support the build out of the design team by growing junior resources and teaching others what you have clearly mastered.
- Driver – manage multiple strategic and complex projects simultaneously
- Data Driven - uses NPS and other usability KPI’s in decision making. Can demonstrate ROI of usability improvements.
- Communicator – demonstrate and present ideas, concerns, strategy, and output to large groups in agile ceremonies or meetings with leadership.
Skills & Requirements Qualifications:
Technical Accomplishments
- 8 years of UX design experience.
- Digital portfolio must express proficiency in how you work and what you have completed. Demonstration of Design Systems architecture and project lifecycle is a must.
- Demonstrate ability to solve design problems, not just make pretty pictures
- Demonstrate expertise in designing experiences and user interfaces for responsive web and mobile apps
Industry Knowledge
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- Extreme knowledge of atomic design and has practiced it in the past.
- A solid grasp and importance of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, usability and accessibility concerns.
Technical Abilities
- Expertise in UX software such as Figma Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq. Basic understanding HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is important.
- Having the experience in user-centered design, rapidly test, wireframing, high-fidelity, prototyping, researching.
- Expertise In building design systems and style guides
- Have experience in User Research and Strategy doing Ethnography Studies
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
Technical Collaboration
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
- Being able to make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Ability to work tightly with a cross-functional team of developers, product owners, and management to guide solutions into production.
- Experience in Team and Project Management, writing user stories – and practicing the agile methodology development process.
- Help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.

- Obsessed with good user-centered design practices and have an impeccable eye for detail and design (e.g. typography, color, balance, etc.).
