Compensation

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $111,500 - $185,800.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead User Experience Designer to craft experiences for Grainger's enterprise applications and customer solutions, ensuring seamless, intuitive interactions across web, mobile, and device platforms. This role reports to the Director of User Experience Design and offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work, with some travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user experiences for customers and internal users.
  • Align design patterns and prioritize features with other UX/UI designers.
  • Facilitate user and stakeholder discussions to define needs.
  • Create concepts, wireframes, and detailed user flows.
  • Translate requirements into interaction designs considering technical and business constraints.
  • Evaluate and improve current user experiences.
  • Present and communicate design rationale effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive design documentation.
  • Conduct user testing and research to refine experiences.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of UX experience with Agile teams; enterprise B2B experience preferred.
  • Degree or equivalent in Human-Centered Design, HCI, or related fields.
  • Experience with complex business processes and internal tools.
  • Proficiency in wireframing, design, and testing tools.
  • Experience with design systems and responsive web design.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Work samples demonstrating problem-solving, empathy, and design skills.
