Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal UI Engineer for the Cortex Platform to drive frontend architecture and design system integration. You will lead the creation of scalable UI components, data visualizations, and performance optimizations while collaborating with UX, backend, and product teams.

As a senior leader, you will mentor engineers and shape how security analysts monitor and automate responses.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 6+ years building complex, web-scale frontend apps.
• Mastery of JavaScript (ESNext), TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML5, Tailwind/CSS3/Sass.
• Deep understanding of state management (RxJS, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query) and modern frontend patterns (Micro-Frontends, Webpack Module Federation).
• Hands-on experience building complex data visualizations and rich UI dashboards.
• Experience with modern build tools (Vite/Webpack/Babel), CI/CD workflows, and testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, Cypress/Playwright).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Architect frontend strategy for Cortex Platform products, building modular, performant micro-frontends.
• Lead development of data visualizations and complex UI components for high-volume data.
• Maintain enterprise design systems ensuring UI consistency and WCAG accessibility.
• Optimize performance, bundle sizes, rendering paths, and asset loading.
• Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, and product teams to translate security workflows into usable interfaces.
• Mentor mid-level and senior UI engineers and establish frontend best practices.
