Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal UI Engineer on the Cortex Platform to lead frontend architecture and design system integrations. You will work with architecture leadership to drive scalable UI, robust data visualization, and performance optimization while partnering with UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate security workflows into intuitive interfaces.

Responsibilities include building modular micro-frontend structures, delivering high‑volume data

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience.
6+ years building complex, web-scale frontend applications.
Mastery of JavaScript (ESNext), TypeScript, React and Angular.
Deep understanding of state management and modern frontend patterns.
Experience with data visualization and rich dashboards.
Experience with CI/CD and modern tooling.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, CS Eng, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Architect frontend strategy for Cortex Platform products.
Lead scalable UI architecture and design system integrations.
Collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate workflows into intuitive interfaces.
Develop data visualizations for high-volume, multi-source data.
Mentor mid-level and senior UI engineers; uphold quality and testing standards.
Ensure accessibility across products (WCAG).
