Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related) with gear design/analysis experience.
• Advanced degree preferred with gear design/analysis experience.
• 3+ years of direct experience with Mechanical Systems hardware and gear design/manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to tackle MSEN transmissions’ top technical issues and integrate gearbox designs, presenting results to customers and leadership.
• Perform gear design and analysis on aerospace hardware across spur, helical, bevel, and spiral bevel using automated tools, FEA, and hand calculations.
• Head root cause investigation teams and deliver findings to engineering leadership.
• Provide mentorship and review team members’ work to accelerate proficiency.
• Coordinate and integrate complex supplier technical requirements and design ownership.
