Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager for Sequence Models (project Sequoia) to own end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of a high-impact program across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.

You will partner with Product, Science, and Engineering to drive strategy, governance, and risk management while solving complex problems at scale in a fast-paced ads-to-stores-to-media integration space.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program management for strategic technology initiatives spanning multiple teams and organizations.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap alignment across engineering, product, science, and business teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges.
• Establish program governance, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility and accountability at the SVP and CEO level.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks across large-scale distributed systems serving billions of requests daily.
• Partner with engineering leaders to influence architecture decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Amazon Ads, Stores, AWS, Media and Stores organizations.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop other TPMs across the organization.
• Represent this technical program in executive-level reviews and planning sessions.
