Job summary

Amazon's Sequence Models team seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead a high‑impact, cross‑organisational program spanning Ads, Stores, and media tech. You will own planning, execution and delivery across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to shape the future of how Amazon serves customers and monetizes experiences.

You will collaborate with Product, Science, and Engineering to drive strategy, governance and risk management in a highly ambiguous environment, mentoring other TPMs

Qualifications

• 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program management for strategic technology initiatives spanning multiple teams and organizations.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap alignment across engineering, product, science, and business teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges.
• Establish program governance, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility and accountability at the SVP and CEO level.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks across large-scale distributed systems serving billions of requests daily.
• Partner with engineering leaders to influence architecture decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Amazon Ads, Stores, AWS, Media and Stores organizations.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop other TPMs across the organization.
• Represent this technical program in executive-level reviews and planning sessions.
