Exponent seeks a Principal Toxicologist to lead health sciences projects, drive litigation support, risk assessment, and regulatory analyses with diverse client teams. The role emphasizes leadership, client development, and scientific excellence across multiple products and chemicals.

Qualifications

• PhD in Toxicology or related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in toxicology.
• DABT certification is highly regarded or required.

Responsibilities

• Apply deep toxicology knowledge to address complex health challenges across client sectors.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new client engagements and build long-term partnerships.
• Maintain and grow trusted client relationships by delivering high-quality work.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coach staff to develop future leaders and experts.
• Provide scientific and strategic guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure successful project execution through planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Offer thought leadership through publications, conferences, and participation in expert committees.
• Contribute to firm impact by advancing product stewardship, toxic tort, and emerging chemicals of concern.
