Exponent is seeking a Principal Toxicologist (Ph.D.) to join our Health Sciences Practice. You will lead projects on litigation support, risk assessment, and regulatory analyses, evaluating health hazards, dose response, and exposure while guiding data-driven decisions for diverse chemicals.

You will build client relationships, expand business, mentor staff, and publish work to strengthen the firm's thought leadership. Open to US offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• PhD in Toxicology or related field.
• 8+ years consulting toxicology experience.
• Proven business development and client funding.
• DABT Diplomate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Reputation for integrity and technical expertise.
• Proven people management on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead toxicology projects and deliver scientifically rigorous solutions.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new client engagements.
• Grow trusted client relationships and act as strategic advisor.
• Build and empower multidisciplinary teams with scientific integrity.
• Coach and develop technical staff toward leadership roles.
• Ensure project execution with planning, resourcing, and budgets.
• Provide high-level scientific and strategic guidance to stakeholders.
• Publish and present to enhance firm visibility and credibility.
