Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Principal Test Method Engineer in the ICT unit at the Mounds View, MN facility. The role requires a hybrid work model (on-site 4 days/week) and up to 10% travel, focusing on validating design verification methods for complex electro-mechanical medical devices.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, developing custom test equipment, and ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA standards while optimizing test methods and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math or related technical field with 7+ years of experience or Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with MSA and DOE is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of Design Verification Test Methods for a new complex electro-mechanical medical device project.
• Collaborate with R&D, clinical, marketing, and regulatory to translate inputs into robust test methods and drive automation.
• Develop and validate custom test equipment and fixtures; manage equipment procurement and validation activities.
• Lead and contribute to complex test method validation studies; perform data analyses including gage R&R and ANOVA; ensure compliance with design inputs and standards.
