Job summary

Medtronic in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Test Engineer I to join the Onsite team, contributing to verification, validation, and test method development for complex electromechanical medical devices.

Based in the Jacksonville lab, you will collaborate across software, electrical, mechanical, and quality teams, develop automated tests, and ensure regulatory compliance through the product lifecycle. This onsite role minimizes travel and offers hands-on access to lab environments and prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in electromechanical, software-enabled, or regulated products.
• Hands-on lab instrumentation, product testing, data collection, and troubleshooting.
• Experience creating test protocols, reports, requirements traceability, design reviews, or validation records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) test plans, protocols, analyses, and reports.
• Integrate software, electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical subsystems for verification testing.
• Design, develop, validate, and maintain automated or semi-automated test fixtures and automation.
• Evaluate inputs to establish verification strategies and regulatory-compliant quality artifacts.
• Identify, document, investigate, and track defects from testing.
• Support integration and bring-up of custom electronics and data acquisition systems.
• Participate in code, design, and technical reviews to improve testability.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, PM, R&D, and Engineering teams across lifecycle phases.
