Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal, Technology Risk Analyst in the United States to advance risk, controls, and compliance across the Payment Networks Core technology environment. You will drive design and implementation of risk-informed control practices embedded in technology solutions and product lifecycles.

You will leverage deep expertise in risk and compliance to assess complex environments, drive control testing, and enable engineering and product teams to build resilient systems aligned

Qualifications

• Deep experience independently analyzing complex technology ecosystems, system architectures, and end-to-end processing flows to identify risks and evaluate control environments.
• Skilled in conducting risk assessments, identifying control requirements, evaluating and challenging control design, developing and executing control testing, and remediation planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end business processes, system architectures, transaction flows, and technology environments to identify operational, security, and compliance risks and determine control strategies.
• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to define control requirements and strengthen preventive, detective, and corrective controls.
• Develop and execute risk-based control testing strategies to assess design and operating effectiveness and drive remediation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor translating risk and regulatory requirements into practical control solutions.
• Lead enhancements to risk methodologies, governance practices, and monitoring capabilities to improve risk visibility and resilience.
• Use data analytics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor control health and inform leadership.
