Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey seeks a seasoned IT portfolio leader to partner with group and technology leaders to steer the portfolio of investments aligned to technology strategy. You will support planning, monitor progress, and deliver executive updates. You will lead complex initiatives, define strategies, and provide vision across technology programs.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of IT experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the group leader, technology leaders, and team members to manage the portfolio of investments supporting technology strategy
• Support the annual investment planning process
• Monitor and report portfolio initiatives
• Support initiative definition as needed
• Generate executive reporting conveying progress toward technology strategy, portfolio products and programs, strategic priorities, and overall operational health
• Lead complex, innovative, high-risk, and diverse initiatives with companywide cross-technology impact or significant scope, cost, and benefits
• Lead strategy and resolution of complex challenges across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
• Define, plan, develop, and implement or consult on major information technology strategies, processes, and ongoing programs
• Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding technology matters
• Lead technology teams supporting strategic initiatives and operational processes
• Advise senior leadership across technology organizations or client lines of business
• Prepare critical business updates, documents, presentations, and communications describing the investment portfolio

Requirements

• 10+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of experience with strategic planning in a Corporate or Enterprise Technology environment
• Experience with product/program financial management, including tracking of benefits/objectives, executive-level data synthesis, and presentation development
• Strategic portfolio and planning experience translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
• Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
• Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
• Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
