Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a world-class Principal Technologist to lead the execution and delivery of AI-native telecommunications solutions for next-generation networks. You will drive end-to-end technical execution across co-design engagements, partner integrations, and innovation incubation programs, translating 6G and AI strategy into deployable architectures and measurable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology domain experience across software, cloud, systems engineering, and related areas.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience communicating with executives and non-technical audiences; ability to present at C-level.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps and guiding IT transformations toward cloud adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of AI-native network co-design with Tier-1 telecommunications operators — from architecture definition to production scaling.
• Own architecture and delivery of RAN AI, AI control plane, and agentic network framework solutions with customer engineering and AWS teams.
• Drive non-terrestrial networks architecture and delivery — including D2D, terrestrial-NTN interworking, and RAN AI integration.
• Lead crowdsourced innovation programs (hackathons, developer challenges, AI fellowships) to accelerate the 6G and AI ecosystem.
• Represent AWS in industry forums and standards bodies (TM Forum, TIP, O-RAN Alliance) to advance AI-native networks.
• Orchestrate technology partner co-design across semiconductor, RAN, and AI ecosystems to translate roadmaps into deployable solutions.
• Build and lead a scaling function of Field Development Engineers and Solutions Architects to deliver 6G/AI engagements at scale.
• Author and deliver technical narratives and solution proposals for AWS leadership and customers.
• Drive 1P innovation by integrating agentic network capabilities and AI control plane services into the AWS platform.
• Mentor and develop a community of builders on best practices for AI-native network architecture and delivery.
