Job summary

STR’s Signals Exploitation and Tracking (SET) group seeks a Principal Technical Staff to lead development of advanced algorithms and software for national security missions. You will manage a portfolio of R&D programs from ideation to contract execution, collaborating with government customers and transition partners to ensure success.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, 15+ years (MS) or 8+ years (PhD) in a scientific field, and proven leadership of multi-discipline teams across

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship required.
• MS with 15+ years experience or PhD with 8+ years in applied math, physics, electrical engineering, CS, or data science.
• Experience managing large technical projects, WBS definition, and resource management.
• Experience spanning ideation to technology R&D and product development.
• Experience in new business development, capture flow, and proposal writing.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead continued development of technology products and a portfolio of R&D programs for the IC and DoD.
• Manage all program phases from marketing to contract execution; coordinate with government customers and transition partners.
• Mentor multi-discipline teams and oversee staffing and resource allocation.
• Drive business development activities, including outreach and proposal work.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure program success.
