Overview

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Interoperability and Integration Engineer in the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI). HNI focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases.

This role is within the CloudOne branch; CloudOne is the Air Force's evolution towards standardized platforms and application support services, providing secure cloud environments, engineered environments, and cybersecurity solutions.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Master's degree in engineering and 15 years of experience, including interoperability and integration engineering experience, with at least 5 years in DoD.
• Secret level Clearance.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate must have the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

• Developing technical requirements, planning, cybersecurity, Information Assurance (IA), system/program protection, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) analysis, spectrum management, standards implementation, IT analysis, engineering, testing, and control functions to ensure system compatibility and performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Analyzing command, control, communications (C3), IT, and ISR system interoperability.
• Analyzing C3 and ISR technologies.
• Machine-to-machine data flow and exchange analysis and testing.
• Mission planning processes and technology analysis/testing.
• IT analysis and architecture development.
• Communication Security (COMSEC) management and testing.
• Communications engineering and interoperability testing.
• Standards conformance and encryption technology analysis.
• E3 testing, spectrum certification, cybersecurity, and IA certification.
• Protection of Critical Protected Information (CPI).
• Ensuring system interface compatibility and technical adequacy.
