Description

We are hiring an energetic, motivated, innovative individual to be a part of our team supporting in Baltimore, MD. The Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) Tech Lead works closely with the ISD team, ISD Manager, and Tier 2 Managed Services Lead, to oversee the technical activities and workloads of their team, facilitate meetings with the customer and team, and ensure that support services satisfy consumer requests. The ISD Tech Lead must have strong communication and technical skills to motivate and encourage workers. They also use strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with application customers. You will deliver technical guidance and IT solutions that ensure the functions of Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace are carried out for US citizens and contribute to efforts to reduce healthcare costs. The candidate will collaborate with internal teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions, deploy and troubleshoot cloud systems, and ensure the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure.

The current work environment is remote, leveraging tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

Key skills needed

Technical leadership with strong Linux (x86), zLinux, Windows Active Directory, and AWS Cloud experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Oversee technical aspects of ISD techs, including troubleshooting, design decisions, and system modifications.
  2. Provide direction and mentorship in tech support and service delivery.
  3. Optimize on-prem and AWS Cloud applications for cost savings; analyze and plan for optimization objectives.
  4. Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system reliability and scalability.
  5. Set up monitoring and alerts using tools like Datadog, Nagios, or New Relic.
  6. Manage and facilitate meetings, including action items and minutes.
  7. Enhance team technical skills based on customer feedback and meetings.
  8. Support customer issues and maintain excellent relationships with end-users and stakeholders.
  9. Ensure systems, procedures, and methodologies support excellent service delivery.
  10. Guide and implement Agile and DevOps practices to maximize workflow.
  11. Participate in continuous improvement processes and feedback loops.
  12. Develop expertise in Hybrid Cloud and Enterprise Shared Services.
  13. Build strong relationships with ISD teams and customers.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10+ years; experience may substitute education.
  • Proven cloud engineering experience.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call.
  • Cloud platform certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Client management skills.
  • Relevant training and certifications in cloud engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and security policies for cloud solutions.
  • Analytical skills for vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, build tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Git).
  • Effective communication, conflict management, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ansible, Bash, Python for automation.
  • Linux and Windows OS expertise.
  • Proven ability to work with challenging customers.
  • Experience with IaC, DevOps tools, and automating manual processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and work management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Required Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
